What is electric oil transfer pump?

An electric oil transfer pump is a piece of powered equipment that uses an electric motor to drive the pump mechanism, drawing in oil and then discharging it under pressure.

Working Principle:

When powered on, the motor rotates at high speed, driving the pump's impeller or gears. This creates a vacuum at the inlet to draw in the oil, which is then pressurized and discharged through the outlet.

Main Applications:

These pumps are widely used in facilities such as gas stations, chemical plants, food processing plants, and oil depots to transfer fluids such as gasoline, diesel, engine oil, and acidic or alkaline liquids.

Difference from Automotive Pumps:

An electric fuel pump in a vehicle is installed inside the fuel tank to supply fuel to the engine, whereas the term "electric oil transfer pump" generally refers to portable industrial transfer pumps or stationary submersible oil pumps; the two serve different purposes.
